United States Congress has avoided a government shutdown by passing a spending bill to fund the government until the beginning of December.
Democrats want to raise the national debt ceiling to take out more loans, and the crunch would worsen.
President Joe Biden’s major infrastructure plan still hangs in the balance, and the debt ceiling issue has not been resolved.
The plan is being pushed simultaneously as Democrats try to negotiate reconciliation which is when, by agreement, several different measures can be passed but must be budget-related and can only last for ten years.
