UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid tests positive for COVID-19

UK health secretary Sajid Javid has been forced into isolation after testing positive for COVID-19. “This morning, I tested positive for COVID,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’m waiting for my PCR result, but thankfully I have had my jabs, and symptoms are mild.”

Last month, Mr. Javid was made health secretary after his predecessor, Matt Hancock, resigned when a video of him breaching his own health orders was leaked. Coronavirus restrictions are set to be relaxed in the UK in the coming days.
