Russia has recalled its ambassador from the United States after President Joe Biden labeled Vladimir Putin a “killer”. Ambassador Anatoly Antonov was recalled to Moscow last week to discuss the future of the relationship between the two countries.
Former Pentagon advisor Jason Israel says it’s a relatively minor action one can take in diplomacy. “There’s just a natural tension between President Putin’s style of leadership and President Biden’s style of leadership,” he told Sky News. “I think that tension is going to remain.”
