Australia to rescue Afghan nationals

Australia is planning an evacuation mission to rescue the remaining Afghan nationals who work with ADF troops. The move is set to be unveiled in the coming days as the Taliban circles Kabul.

Senior officials are in discussions with their American and British allies after the Taliban’s rapid offensive claimed its second and third largest cities.

The options being considered include the United States or the United Kingdom rescuing people on behalf of the government and Australia organizing its own commercial flights.
