Some residents have been allowed to return to La Palma to collect their belongings from their homes as the island’s volcano continues to erupt into its third day.
The airport has reopened after closing because of an ash cloud, but no flights are running yet as they are all canceled.
Of the many thousands evacuated, it was only safe for 160 residents to return home. Scientists say the pressure inside the volcano has decreased in the past 24 hours, but it does not mean the eruptions are about to stop, as the experts cannot predict when it will end.
